There are many opportunities throughout the year to see the dedication and skill of our student artists in both the visual and performing arts. Through many field trips to concerts, plays and museums, Roeper students expand their appreciation for the arts and learn things which inspire their own art. Our art teachers also bring visiting artists to share their work with students.
Visual Arts: Recent student artwork can be seen in the hallways and lobbies on both campuses. Lower School student art is often seen enriching other events like the set design for the Stage IV musical or Empty Bowls project. At the Birmingham Campus, our older students' art is displayed in the G. Hawkins Ferry Art Hallway.
Performing Arts: There are several major vocal and instrumental concerts each year, occuring at the end of each semester to display the skills acquired during the semester as well as the individual talents of students. There are four major theatrical performances each year: The Stage IV musical, Upper School play and musical, Middle School musical. All are performed in the Dean Acheson Theatre which is a black box theater located at the Birmingham Campus.
Information about upcoming events can be found in our school calendar and on the Roeper Record.
