The Roeper Scholastic Chess Camp is a five day chess adventure for children currently in 2nd through the 7th grade who wish to learn, study, and have fun with chess. The camp is open to beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. Morning sessions consist of small group lessons divided by skill level and strategy based games and activities. Afternoons are devoted to whole group competitive play. On the last day of camp, all students participate in a chess tournament.
Chess camp is led by two Roeper faculty members, Patrick Ratliff (Middle School) and Ellen Hoppe (Lower School). Patrick is the current Assistant Coach for the Roeper Chess Team. Ellen is the former Assistant Coach and Coordinator for the Roeper Chess Team.

Credit Cards are NOT accepted.
For a refund, all cancellations must be requested in writing or be email by April 30, 2017. No refunds will be issued after April 30, 2017.
The necessary camp forms will be e-mailed to you with your confirmation upon receipt of your payment.
By law, children must have a physician-signed health form returned to Roeper before starting camp. Health forms completed within one year of the start of camp will be accapted.
LUNCH: For full day programs, students must provide their own lunches. Please do not send items containing nuts, peanuts or peanut oil.
